| Directions | Scotts Evergreen, Flowering Tree & Shrub slow release plant food is great for use on all types of acid-loving tress and shrubs including dogwoods, azaleas, evergreens, camellias and rhododendrons. Simply apply the plant food directly from the bag to the soil around all of your acid-loving plants. Be sure to apply plant food to the entire area under the canopy spread of plants (drip zone) or slightly beyond. How Much to Use: Using a dime as a size reference, this illustration shows about how much Scotts Evergreen, Flowering Tree & Shrub Slow Release Plant Food you should sprinkle on the soil around your plants. Apply Scotts Slow Release Plant Foods every two months during the growing season starting in Spring. This package provides a single feeding for approximately 165 square feet (15 ft. x 11 ft. area). Apply only as directed. 1 Cup (9.5 oz) covers 35 square feet, or 1/2 tablespoon for every 1 square foot of area. For Best Results: Rake plant food into top 1-3 inches of soil or mulch to allow the nutrients to release directly to the root system. Apply plant food evenly around plants. Do not concentrate the plant food near the trunk or crown of plants. After application, water in thoroughly to begin the slow release feeding process. |
