Very disappointing; filter hard to clean.
January 09, 2021
I was very optimistic when I made this purchase because I saw one operating in a friend's office. To my dismay, the pebbles enclosed were accompanied by dirt, and that immediately got into the filter. I've tried cleaning the filter 3 times so far, and the noise just gets louder and louder. The instructions for taking the filter apart leave much to be desired. I'm going to try one more time, but after that, I may return the whole thing. It will also be difficult to repack this item because of the way it was originally packaged.

Very Nice Foundation!

Love this small tabletop fountain. Wonderful soft sound. Very relaxing. Big pro is that it does NOT splash water into my table. I have had many much more expensive fountains. They all splashed water out distorting any wooden tabletop. Love the price too. Highly recommend.

sweet little lighted fountain, nice ambient sound
April 28, 2021
It is all plastic, but looks like nicer metal. Comes with some natural rocks you should rinse before use. I think it looks very nice with the glow of lights on the water and the sound of water is good too. You will need to refill often, it is pretty tiny and as soon as a bit of water evaporates the motor will make more noise.

Silent (in a bad way), cheap construction
April 01, 2021
I guess the saying you get what you pay for is true. The assembly is pretty cheap feeling and kind of cheap looking. The lights aren’t very strong either. If you are looking for a fountain to make a falling water noise, this one is not for you. It does look cool, but it doesn’t provide that nice running water sound.

Peaceful and Beautiful
June 03, 2020
Absolutely love the peaceful space I've created. My home is no longer a place of no love, scary, full of anxiety and fear. This is a beautiful fountain, no problems with it and I use my own quartz crystals in the dishes. Keep it clean tho, the water gets slimy so clean it every couple weeks and don't let the water go down. Too far and it could damage the motor. It's worth every penny. My son wants one now lol

Looks great, cats love it.
February 06, 2019
I got this for my cats and they love it. It looks 10x better than any fountain the pet store carries, and is a fraction of the price. When I first opened it, it smelled strongly of plastic, but I let it air out some, ran it several times with fresh water, and now it looks, smells, and tastes amazing. Even when the cats aren't drinking from it, it looks great on the counter, and it has a gentle flowing water noise that's very soothing. The motor might be a little loud for some people, but it surprisingly doesn't bother me at all. Typically I am sensitive to noise. I would reccomend this to everyone, seriously! It's such a great buy. I love it so much for my apartments aesthetics, and for my cats!

Lots of ambiance in a small package
April 12, 2016
I love this little fountain so much that I ordered another one. Soft flickering light not only lights up the trickling water, but the fountain I placed in a dark corner of my kitchen counter also reflects golden flickering lights on the ceiling! I placed the other one near my thirty gal. fish tank on a glass coffee table with an orchid and other plants. I'm sure they will appreciate the added moisture. The bubbling water on the top leaf of the fountain looks like a flickering candle flame from across the room. Follow the set up instructions by rinsing the pebbles, etc. off before setting up. Also the bottom leaf can be turned so that the water runs where it is supposed to. Be sure you keep adequate water in the fountain. You don't want to burn the pump out. I add water DAILY f...

Works great
July 13, 2015
If I could attach pictures I would but I think I found a great set up for great water trickling noise. We will start at the top and work our way down. Top platform, 5 rocks - 4 rocks in a square and one on top in the middle of the 4. Middle platform, 5 rocks - 3 in a triangle and two on top of the triangle right under the water flow from the top platform. The 2 on top of the 3 are not on top of each other rather overlapping themselves on top of the 3. Bottom platform, 5 rocks - made to create a "C" shape with the open end for the water flowing out towards the side and not the back where the pump is. The C creates a kind of a pool that the slow trickle from the middle platform on the second stream makes noise. I get a little noise from the middle platform rocks, but the mo...

Noisy and leaks
October 23, 2015
I chose this fountain above all others on the shelf because it was American made and it was in a higher price range. I wanted to get a fountain that would work well and last. I became uneasy when I opened the box and read the slip that scolded the buyer that motor noise was the result of not keeping it filled and to protect your table surface from splashes with something waterproof. Uh oh. That means the common complaints are noisy motor and leaky fountain. After I installed it, I noticed the noisy motor. We can't have this on when we sleep. It is not a low hum that one gets used to; it growls. Then I began to realize how much water was on the table. I then put the fountain in a dinner plate and over the next few hours it collected far more water than splashes could account f...

Very Relaxing
November 16, 2016
This fountain is such a favorite of mine, that I ordered two more, shortly after I received it. I haven't even decided, what do do with them yet. I may keep one more, for myself and gift the other one, or keep them both. I like the amber glow it gives off and I have not found the motor to be noisy. I also really like the fact, that it has an on and off switch, unlike most water fountains that you have to plug directly into the wall, each time, in order to turn it on and off. Also, I have to mention that a week or so, after I started using the fountain, the lighting quit. It's not all that attractive, without the lights. I called HoMedics and received exceptional service. I was told the lights couldn't be fixed, but that I would be mailed a replacement, within the next couple o...
